Wanna Be Italiano! – Florence Cooking Class

This fantastic ‘hands on’ experience is a great way to learn more about Tuscan cuisine. Help prepare a traditional four-course Tuscan lunch with Chef Giovanni and then sit down and enjoy the fruits of your labour accompanied by great local wines.

Enjoy lunch in a real italian house and learn the secrets of italian cuisine as you cook a typical everyday Tuscan meal using seasonal ingredients, extra virgin olive oil, fresh herbs and produce, all of which are available in the local markets. Let chef Giovanni invite you to his place, where he will be your special host for the night.

You will cook and eat as you chat about stories of food, traditions, wines and art whilst enjoying some of the finest wines, listening to music, seating at the table, or on the sofa, in the most relaxed atmosphere.

Your experience starts with a visit to the central market picking up the ingredients for your lunch. You will meet the butchers, the bakers, and the farmers selling vegetables from their gardens. You will learn how to distinguish the highest quality ingredients and as an added bonus, how to bargain! Then head to chef Giovanni's home for your cooking class.

Classes are small and intimate and everyone helps prepare the menu which includes Bruschettas, pasta or risotto, main traditional dish with sides and a very special dessert. At the end, stay as long as you want to enjoy the real Italian atmosphere of being at a true Italian table, with your new friends.. A truly unforgettable experience, perfect for families, too.
